BENEFITING: BREAST CANCER COALITION OF ROCHESTER INC
EVENT DATE: May 11, 2014
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might." Ephesians 6:10
2014 will be my fourth year running this race. You often hear that 'everyone's lives are touched by cancer'. This past year, that sentiment became so close to home for me. Our Aunt Joannie courageously beat ovarian cancer early in 2013 and our resilient Grandma Donna gracefully beat breast cancer in the latter half of the year. This run raises awareness and funds for breast cancer, a disease that truly has touched the lives of so many, indirectly or personally.
So this year, instead of only reading the bibs all around me, I pray others will read my bib, as I run in honor of a breast cancer survivor who continues to teach me humility, grace, strength, selflessness, faith, joy, and fulfillment. And, that in all things, find strength in God.
If you are interested in donating in person (not online) checks can be made payable to: BREAST CANCER COALITION OF ROCHESTER.
