Sarah Roth wrote -This past June marked the 2nd year since we lost my beloved Aunt Ginger in her 2nd battle against breast cancer. Her bravery, strength and positivity throughout both battles was incredibly inspiring to me. My family and I miss her dearly so in order to honor her, I began growing out my hair soon after we lost her in hopes that I would one day grow it long enough to donate for a wig to be given to a woman battling cancer. Then I thought, why stop there? If thousands of women are diagnosed each year and fight to endure the treatments to hopefully survive, then I can surely be brave enough to shave my head in honor of all of those who have endured the pain, stress and heartbreak. So I have set a fundraising goal for myself of $6,000 and if I reach my goal by the end of October, I plan to shave my head after I donate my hair. All proceeds that I raise will be donated to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition as this was the charity of choice by my aunt. Please consider donating to the cause, my family and I would greatly appreciate it! My family has held several fundraisers to raise money for breast cancer and this is my fundraiser that I have decided to do to give back.
