Sarah's mission for others
Organized by: Sarah DeCicco
I was diagnosed with breast cancer a while ago but I'm better. While I was fighting to stay alive yet another day, it made me realize more and more how important and short life can be. I always wanted to help people in whatever way possible and swore to do this once I was done "helping" myself through another week of chemotherapy. Cancer is truly a challenge in life like many others we face each day. I also have a little girl with autism and disabilities. She is a handful and a challenge at times too but truly an angel and a blessing. I'm glad she chose me as her mama. So once I was better, I got involved more and more with my religion. It saddens me each time I see people going hungry, people without shelter or clothing, people with no one to help them at all. I want to go to these countries where each day is a blessing but truly a challenge to so many. In Africa there are small schools but they don't accommodate children with disabilities. I know what it feels like not having all I need for my little girl and I'm sure any little bit I can bring to this family and this village will make the sun rise for them again and again. Please help me fulfill this desire and dream to be there for others in this capacity.
