Savannah Westover/Family Support
Organized by: Shannon Gavin Westover
Ever since the attempted abduction Savannah went through in December she has been through a number of illnesses along with her migraines including a throat infection, strep throat, a stomach virus, pneumonia, a 5 day fever virus, then a non stop 15 day fever virus causing her to miss almost 30 days (excused) of school. She was cleared through infectious disease last friday. On that same day around 3pm she was bit by a brown recluse spider on her face. She started off in the Conway ER that night, then was transfered to Children's and released Monday because they believed it was just an allergic reaction. On Wednesday night we took her back to Children's ER and she was admitted. Her blood levels had dropped. Eventually she had to have a blood transfusion. She was hospitalized another 3.5 days. She is now home, and on iron and steroids to continue healing and build up her blood. I am a hairdresser and do not get paid when I am not at work, so this has taken a pretty hard hit. I have never asked for help before, and we are leaving for a week to see my Grandfather who is on hospice soon. Anything will help, and if you can't help, please share.
