Save Gizmo - "DJ Puffy Paws" needs surgery - please help
Organized by: Jenae Alt
The most common orthopedic problem in Pomeranians is luxating patella (loose knees) – of 142 breeds, Poms have the WORST rate of knee problems, an appalling 48%. My dog's name is Gizmo, a.k.a. “DJ Puffy Paws”! My precious fun loving dog has elbow problems called luxating patella or “elbow dysplasia”. I took him in for surgery when he was 2 years old, and they put a metal pin in his elbow joint, which gave him an adverse reaction to the metal pin they used and made him lose most of his hair. He’s still a young dog but his health is at risk from the metal pin that was used in the surgery. The veterinarian said that other organs in his body and his overall health are also likely at risk from this adverse reaction to the metal hip. I’ve already spent a great deal of money on vet bills for my dog Gizmo for the first surgery, and now he needs to get a better surgery so he can hopefully get well, grow his fur back full again, and keep laying down dope tracks as DJ Puffy Paws. He’s the best dog I’ve ever met. He has so much character, and so loyal and sweet!~ Please help me get him back to healthy...Thank you!
