Save Italia Beautiful Mastiff
Organized by: Denise Pearl
I have been dog sitting this wonderful, loving, 5 year old Italian Mastiff for almost 4 months. I am a single mom who lives on a very tight budget who learned last week that my mom is very ill and may not have long to live. I took Italia and my son to NY to see my mom and when we arrived home, the dog became deathly I'll. I rushed her to Lums Pond animal hospital where they told me she had a mass in her intestine and she could die. They instructed me to rush her to the veterinary specialty care of Delaware and get get her immediate care. Upon arriving there, the news wasn't good. I was told she was very sick and needed immediate surgery or she would die. The owner didn't have the money nor did I. The Dr's couldn't tell me for sure what the mass was without going inside. I was completely beside myself and I tried getting credit increases and was declined. The owner, indirectly, blames me saying that she ate something and it's stuck and because she's suffering, told the vet to put her down. When I went there today to be with her for this horrific time, I was hysterical begging to please not do this. I found some old credit cards and was able to come up with $2000 for the surgery deposit to save her life. I'm asking everyone to help me, help Italia, raise the $3800, to save her life. We have a bond that can't be broken and she deserves to live. Please find it in your heart to save an animal that would risk her life to save mine. Thank you.
