BENEFITING: CURE SANFILIPPO FOUNDATION
He is a four year old little boy who loves sharks, sea creatures. He enjoys swimming, going to the beach, and playing tag with his older sister Sophia.
By his next birthday, Carter will loose almost all of his speech and language. Carter will then loose his fine motor skills and will be unable to feed himself have the ability to walk and during all of this he may develop seizures and painful movement disorders until his life will be taken from him more than likely in his mid teens. Carter sufferers Sanfilippo Syndrome. Sanfilippo syndrome is a rapid degenerative and terminal disease in children. Basically, it's children's alzheimer's and there is currently no cure. Clinical trials and research are being done but these children do not have the time to waste as everyday they are at risk of loosing these skills.
