Our children love their cousin Jonah. He lives in Brooklyn, so we don't see him as much as we would like to. But, when we do, it's always fun.
Jonah was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome, a rare genetic disease that presently has no cure. But there is hope. Jonah's parents, Jeremy Weishaar and Jill Wood have worked tirelessly through a foundation they created (Jonah's Just Begun--Foundation to Cure Sanfilippo, Inc.) to raise both funds and awareness of this rare disease, and a treatment may be on the horizon. But, they need our help. That's why we've created this page to join their Crowdrise team and their latest fundraising campaign, which runs from now until January 5, 2017. Please consider making a gift today. Jonah's Just Begun is registered with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity.

Jonah's Just Begun is a 501(c)(3) dedicated to the research and development of life-saving treatments for MPSIIIC & D, but you probably already knew that. Starting with the hope of saving their son's life, Jonah's parents have taken MPSIII C & D research to places they only dreamed about. FYI, MPSIII is also known as Sanfilippo Syndrome and if you want to get technical MPS is short for mucopolysaccharidosis. http://jonahsjustbegun.org/what-is-sanfilippo/
Because we are a mom and pop (literally) non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to keep the research going.
Funding from our supporters have contributed to three potential treatments! Our gene therapy drug is nearing clinical trial- you can help us get there! Please consider donating and share our page.
If you want to go the extra mile, become a fundraiser yourself! Just hit that 'FUNDRAISE FOR THIS CAMPAIGN' button off to the side, then hit 'JOIN THE TEAM'.
Your donation is always much appreciated and gives the gift of life, but a fundraiser would make us stand up and boogie down! Don't you want to see Jonah's boogie dance?! If we get 10 fundraisers on our team we will post a video of us doing just that.
