My sweet two year old cat Steve has dealt with eye problems all his life and now he requires an expensive eye surgery to correct his entropion, which is when the eye lids roll inward and tear stained fur rubs and scratches the corneas of Steves eyes, causing extremely painful ulcers to form. In addition to this he also suffers from frequent feline herpes outbreaks in his eyes which causes extremely painful ulcers to appear, as well as secondary infections like conjunctivitis. We have found that as a kitten when he was found, he was unbelievably sick and his eyes were very badly effected by the ulcers and secondary infections and the extreme pain from his disease going untreated for so long while he was still living on the streets has caused the entropion to occur, making the eye lids spasm and roll inward which can only be corrected with surgery. We treat him with three different medications three times a day every day so he is not in severe pain, but as you could imagine this is stressful for Steve and for us because of how costly and frequent his treatments are. Steve is the sweetest cat but he is constantly suffering from painful eye infections mainly caused by the rolled in eye lids, which only takes a minor corrective surgery to fix. We always treat him but we are very low on funds so any help at all would be so very appreciated, Steve would appreciate it too! This corrective surgery would make his life so much more comfortable for our sweet loving fluffy grey cat.
