BENEFITING: Beaver Area School District Education Foundation
ATTENTION!! The swimming pool at the Beaver Area High School in the beautiful community of Beaver, PA is in danger of being closed. This is a venue that houses the competitive spirits of more than 50 students annually who enjoy the sport and life-long benefits of swimming. Current pool status is as follows:
- Pool liner is more than 20 years old and in need of replacement.
- Current pump was damaged due to flooding in the pump room and needs replacement
- Heating system was damaged due to flooding
Why is the Pool Relevant?
The pool is home to the Beaver Area High School Swim & Dive Team and is also enjoyed by swimmers from surrounding schools that are not fortunate enough to have their own pool, like New Brighton, Rochester and Central Valley. There are plans to open the pool to the surrounding communities for lap swimming, scouting merit badges, life-guard certifications, and other educational events.
BASDEF To the Rescue!
The Beaver Area School District Education Foundation is proud to sponsor the #savethepool initiative. The Foundation has committed to match up to $100,000 in donations for pool repair and upgrades through fundraising efforts over the next 5 years. So in reality, a $50 donation you might make automatically turns into a $100 donation. Donations of all sizes are greatly appreciated.
What Can You Do?
Please make a minimum contribution of $25 - $50 today in support of your youth and community and place #SaveThePool in the memo line of your donation. For an amount equal to basically two meals of a family of four, you can help secure the aquatic health and wellness of our swimmers and community for many generations to come. Thank You for Your Support!!
