There are few things dear to women...their children, their family, their friends, and their boobs. Breasts are part of who we are as women, yet there still isn't a cure for breast cancer or for any cancer for that matter. Did you know that one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime and that it is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women? In fact, it is the second leading cause of cancer death among women. Each year it is estimated that over 230,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will die. Even men, though rare, can get breast cancer. There is good news though, thanks to the focus placed on this disease, research and contributions like yours, over 2.9 million breast cancer survivors are alive in the United States today. Better diagnostic treatment is also available to women, helping to detect the disease earlier and thus increase the odds of survival. This is all the result of people like you and me maintaining focus on the disease, standing up for women's right to access to the best diagnostic imaging for their breast type, education, and supporting research on this disease. I'd like to help Save a Breast and keep the focus of this disease on the forefront of medical research and political mindset. I'm asking for your support to help me raise $1,000 for this effort. Even $1 dollar helps.
