BENEFITING: Save a Childs Heart Foundation US
EVENT DATE: Jan 08, 2016
10,000 dollars will save a life. The life of a child; young and carefree. Save A Child's Heart is an amazing organization that sets up clinics in various developing countries with limited healthcare and checks thousands of children every year for heart diseases. When the doctors find a child with a potentially fatal but curable disease, they prepare to fly him to Israel for heart surgery. Children come from around the globe, including the Palestinian Authority, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, various African countries such as Ethiopia, Rwanda and Tanzania, and Asia, Eastern Europe and the Americas. All of the doctors participating in this organization work extra hours without pay in order to help the children. In addition, the organization trains doctors from many of these developing countries in pediatric heart surgery and then helps them set up a clinic in their home country. I was lucky enough to have the chance to volunteer with SACH in Israel and to meet some of the amazing kids whose lives have been saved by SACH and I would be so grateful to anyone that could help, even just a little, to advance the goals of this wonderful organization.
Attached are a few pictures I took myself of children that I had the pleasure of meeting and living with during my 2 months volunteering with SACH.
