We live in a society where 20% of the world’s people who live in the highest-income countries consume 86% of the world’s resources. The bottom 20% in the lowest-income countries consume less than 10%. More than half (3 Billion) people live on less than 2.50 a day. (Please-let that sink in) Haiti, although a country rich in culture, is the poorest country in the western Hemisphere. Here are some facts to consider:
►Over one-hundred thousand children under five suffer from acute malnutrition, while 1 in 3 children suffer stunting of growth.
►There are over 400,000 children without parents in Haiti.
►1 out of 5 children will die before the age of five.
We are asking YOU to help make a difference. With your help, the children living in the village of Gonaïves, Haiti will be able to get at least 2 nutritious meals a day. We started a mission in that village that sponsors over 200 children. Our vision is to expand countrywide to provide food for children in all of Haiti and to hopefully do so in all of South America. You can look at this and dismiss it at the cost of knowing that a child might not live to see tomorrow due to the simplest thing as a meal--or you can help us save a life by feeding these children, one meal at a time. Sincerely yours, The children of Haiti
