Bridges to Somalia Famine Relief Walk will be held on September 9, 2011 at 2pm. The walk will begin at the Veteran's Memorial Bridge in South Portland and end after crossing Tukey's Bridge into East Deering, Portland.
WALK REGISTRATION: Donate $25 or more here to sign up for the walk. Ask your friends, family, coworkers and neighbors to support your walk and help save lives by contributing here as well. If you can't attend the event, whatever you can give is much appreciated. Thank you!
You can make a difference.
East Africa is experiencing one of the worst humanitarian disasters in generations. Millions are affected by drought and starvation.
Officials warn of a deepening crisis in East Africa caused by a severe drought, with tens of thousands of children at risk of dying.
We are raising funds and purchasing medical supplies, food, clothing, and goods to send to our partners in the region who are supporting refugees fleeing drought and starvation.
Work with us and help save a life!
