Dear Friends and Family,
Currently I am fighting to save Mullins' life. At this point he has required 2 blood transfusions so far, possibly more necessary and multiple tests to find out what's wrong. Best case scenario, it's a nasty tickborne illness called Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever which he may have been exposed to before I adopted him from West Virginia, or from the hoarding situation with all the dogs. If this is the case it is treatable. The worst case scenario would be a Bone Marrow Cancer in which case the Dr. says his prognosis is not good, in which case MY prognosis is not good. I will have spent so much (I'm embarrassed to say how much because i don't have that much) to save him and will have lost and I will be devastated.
For those who know me well, you know my dogs are my life. Recently they have given me the courage and strength to move across the country alone, yet not alone because I have my 2 best friends as companions and most importantly as my roommates. Although at times Mosey torments Mullins, he so adores him and he has been very sad too with Mullins not being well.
However much money I raise, I plan to pay his astronomical bills without depleting my life savings, and if there happens to be any leftover that was not used toward testing/treatment/medication....I vow with God as my witness to donate any unused money back to charities... probably the shelter where I adopted Mosey and Mullins from, if not another needy shelter near me in San Diego. I really dont want to put a dollar amount below but it is making me..... Any amount from $1-$5 or whatever you are comfortable with would be so helpful. I set the goal high...hopefully higher than necessary but no donation is ever wasted. I am now directly linked to St. Hubert's as my charity so whatever is not used towards Mullins goes to the rest of the great work they do at their Animal Welfare Center saving sweet souls like my 2 angels. Thank you all!
