BENEFITING: SEA SHEPHERD CONSERVATION SOCIETY
“Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) is an international non-profit, marine wildlife conservation organization. Our mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world's oceans in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.”
This organization has had the most impact on Japanese whaling out of any conservation group to date. They are very strong believers in what they fight for and are apart of the reason why Japan does not meet their quota for whale killings each year.
Every year hundreds of endangered whales/dolphins/sharks, are killed. Killed is a kind word for what is really happening to them. They are being slaughtered in horrific ways. Every donation received can help lead to saving the lives of many majestic creatures that deserve to roam freely and safely in the ocean.
“The biggest threat however is diminishment of bio-diversity in the world’s oceans. Every major commercial fishery is in a state of collapse, coral reefs are dying. Our challenge is to make humanity understand that we are intimately connected to the oceans and if the oceans die, we all die.”-Paul Watson
