I Need Your Help Please!!!
Organized by: Kelly Walker-Bell
Animals have become throw away more and more in my town it seems people just dont care anymore, there are so many that are thrown out of vehicles and left to survive on their own. Or when they become a senior they are dumped at the local shelters to be killed. People seem to think the shelter is a retirement home for these babies. Its not, it is a death sentence for them. One day they are taken from the home and family they love and find themselves in a cold cage with a cot if they even get a cot. They are confused scared and dont know what just happened, wondering when their family will be back to get them. Then they are taken in to get the fatal shot from strangers who really dont care and tossed in a garbage bin with the others that went before them. The animals roaming the streets are either taken to shelters as strays or killed by cars, wild animals or hopefully found by a caring human and fostered and given a home. I have been trying to do my part for these helpless babies by transporting animals to rescues, I pick up strays that need help who are starving with no where to go, freezing in winter and dying from heat in summer. I am now going to be helping a rescue by doing adoptions at the local pet store. These animals depend on us humans to take care of them they cant do it without us. My fundraiser is that I need $5000.00 to buy a used vehicle to continue helping the animals, my car has finally seen its last day and I have not been able to help anyone and the need for help is only growing. I live in the desert and the need for transportation is crucial. I have always given without asking for anything in return and am the first one to help when needed for animal or person. I really need some help and it is very difficult for me to ask but I have run out of ideas on how to do this. I have been selling anything I have that is worth money and not getting much. I am not sitting back wanting a handout I am doing things to achieve this on my own its just not working. Please if you can afford anything at all to help me help the animals I would greatly appreciate anything you can spare. Thank you for reading my story. Kelly...
