Save the Ranch With the Muck Bucket Challenge
Organized by: Richard Hopkins
Blue shadows Mounted Drill Team is a non-profit organization that has been helping, guiding, and molding young girls since 1957. Colonel Nancy Chefalo and colonel Lucy Radike have reached the top rank and have each been with Blue Shadows for about fifty years. They run the ranch where the Junior Advanced Team rides and practices. They have given their time, energy, money and love year after year, decade after decade to the girls and the horses without reservation.
After fifty plus years of working a steady job to pay the bills and working the ranch to help the girls they find that they are in need of some help. Being a non-profit all the money comes from the parents of the girls and others kind enough to donate. The fees are reasonable in order to keep it accessible to all. However horses need much more care and space than a cat or a dog and try as they might expenses keep mounting.
After years of using every financial and accounting wizardry available to them to keep the ranch afloat they have finally run out of options. That is why we are coming to you so that we can save the ranch and keep inspiring, training, and challenging young girls to become good riders and good adults. Our immediate need is $120,000.00 to keep from foreclosure. We would like to reach $150,000.00 to have a little breathing room to find a more permanent means of financing the ranch going forward. We trust in your inherent kindness and generosity and thank you in advance. Please take a few moments and forward the link to this page to all your friends and ask them to please check us out.
