BENEFITING: TREASURED LANDS FOUNDATION INC
Barley Barber Swamp is a remnant of the vast bald cypress slough systems that once flourished is South Florida and fed the Everglades. Managed by Treasured Lands Foundation (TLF) this 400 acres preserve is open to the public Wednesday - Sunday for guided interpretive public and group tours along its 5800 ft boardwalk. The tour are provided FREE as a public service to the community by the Foundation. During the last 3 year TLF has provided access to this old growth cypress preserve, home to towering 1,000 year old trees, to nearly 7,500 visitors. To continuing to foster a community of young environmental stewards and educate the public about these unique TLF needs your help.
