BENEFITING: PATRONS OF THE ARTS IN THE VATICAN MUSEUMS
We, the current and former Vatican Interns, are having/had a tremendous experience at the Vatican Museums learning about all the one-of-a-kind works and more importantly, how to preserve them. While the works of art in the Vatican Collection are ageless, time ticks away.
Our campaign is to go one piece at a time. In that spirit, for the first time the Vatican has undertaken a full apporach by committing to restore each and every statue, fountain and grotto in the Vatican Gardens over the next few years. We want to be a part of this effort.
We have selected this statue prominently located in the garden pathway between the Painting Gallery and the Casina of Pius IV. We chose this work not only for it’s great location, but most importantly because it is in immediate need of restoration.
We can stop the effects of time--together.
Help us to preserve these works for the next 2000 years.
