Save The Woodstock Bus
Organized by: Woodstock Fridella
I've had this bus over 20 years and has put smiles on thousands and thousands of faces across the country. Has been in numerous newspapers and media over the years. Has given rides to hundreds and hundreds of people all over the lower 48 states. Everything I own in the world is in it including all of my keyboards and music equipment. It has been my dog Rosie's home for nearly 9 years. We left New Orleans with $1200 on our way to a Farm in Tennessee. Since we broke down we have spent all of that money in this RV park @ $13 a day and my deaf girlfriend Vicki Sowell (see facebook) had the van here then and we finally found a hard to find International V-345 over 100 miles south of Laurel MS where we are it was in Slidel, LA but although the block and heads are good it needed parts. There is no shade here at Break-A-Way RV 1360 Sandersville Sharon Rd Laurel MS and I didnt want Vicki to keep suffering with me in the heat. She has been with her family in Texas until I somehow get this running again. There are no showers here either and is 10 miles to any stores. I created a facebook group called Save The Woodstock bus and got some paypal donations- enough to keep my wifi connection turned on and to get 4 new pistons. They still need to be pressed onto the rods at a machine shop, and I still need a clutch plate, I spent money on new rings and a head gasket set, oil, a filter, and misc stuff needed for building the engine and putting it back in. I paid a couple of guys I found on craigslist to help but ran out of money to keep them helping and so these are the reasons I am asking for help. I'll use any extra money beyond getting the bus running again for gas to get out of here. The tank is completely empty. I have been listing things on Craigslist but Hattiesburg is 60 miles and no one wants to drive that far to buy something from me.
