Please take the time to read this touching article...it's the story of two inner-city brothers living in Dorchester who like many of us, grew up in a single-family home to immigrant parents. Those teenage years are the most critical times in these children's lives when they either receive the proper guidance of a mentor as they struggle to rid the chains of poverty or they run the risk of heading to the streets and mixing with the wrong crowd. This story is not an unfamiliar one and it hits close to home. What is presented here is real. They are the day-to-day struggles many families face. Many of you, including myself, have been blessed in our lifetimes, but many have not been. This holiday season, the kindness of strangers can make a difference. I'm setting up a charity to raise money for DYC, the youth organization mentioned in the article. It's stories like these that compel me to take action and I sincerely hope everyone will share in this wonderful experience. Thank you!
