In February of this year, Jeremy Hogan founded an organization called “Saving Forgotten Warriors”( 501c3). We at Saving Forgotten Warriors would like for the public to be aware of veterans’ needs and know what this organization is doing to address those needs. Our primary focus is stepping in and assisting when a veteran is not being properly cared for or does not have the proper support system to care for themselves.
We recently helped several area veterans that were in need of assistance. Helping Cpl B. was our biggest project to date. We began with a home renovation. Because Cpl B. requires the assistance of a wheel chair, we completely remodeled his main bathroom, installed a walk-in bathtub, built a new back deck with a wheel chair ramp and installed new flooring in half of his home. Cpl B. was also provided a new wheel chair. We dug a drainage ditch around the back and side of his mobile home to help with water shed for the new deck and cut down some dead trees that posed a safety risk. Wives of several veterans cleaned his home. For another veteran’s family, money was raised to help with funeral costs for a fallen hero and additionally we found shelter for a homeless veteran.
We are currently in the process of helping several more veterans, one specifically, that needs help with finding a home, job, clothing, vehicle, assistance with medical care, and help with his prosthetic leg. We continue to assist veterans with other needs such as getting them in touch with the proper facilities to get the benefits they deserve. We strive to continue to connect with area veterans and assist those in need, even the smallest of needs. Everyday we meet the needs of a veteran of the armed forces.
We are looking to the American community to stand up with us and show the Warriors that we appreciate all they have sacrificed and that we care for them and their needs. If you would like to learn more about our organization we encourage you to visit our Facebook page:
