Saving America's Pets
Organized by: Rebecca Wallis
How many people have suddenly been faced with a tragic event that left their pet at the Emergency Veterinary Hospital? How many people have a couple thousand dollars laying around to pay for it?
So many times, the families have to either euthanize or turn their pet over to the vet or shelter to be re-homed because they didn't have the funds to cover the emergency. Pets are not typically covered on insurance like children are, even though many American families have pets instead of children.
Family Pet Partners (A Registered nonprofit in Oregon, applying for 501(c)3) already has 3 applications for pets that need surgery. We have done a lot of fundraising through raffles, garage sales and some monetary donations. These pets suffer in pain until they can get their surgeries.
