THE STORY:

We are an non profit 501c3 (931142642) Animal Rescue & Adoption Center service the entire Eastern Oregon. We are an open door high save rescue and have been since 2012. Prior to 2012 this use to be a high kill rescue killing thousand of animals every year. In 2012 a new board and executive director took the outlook and mission in a whole in form. Saving lives and finding forever homes for all animals regardless of how long it took to find their new forever home. Through many roadblocks, and up hill battles we are proud to say we are one of only a handful of true open door high save animal rescue centers. We are small as we only have 5 part time employees and one director that is on call 24/7 to help save animals lives. Since becoming a high save rescue our local doctor has only had to euthanize 27 animals (all were recommend by vet as the most humane thing for the fur kids) ( all of which we all shed tears over) Ever life matters to each and everyone of us we have volunteers that gives lot of hours each and every week they foster animals help with adoption help train animal etc.. Our annual budget runs around the $250,000.00 to $277,000.00 a year depending on vet expense. We do not have our own vet and we use local vets in our area to provide service and care for our animals. Right now we are housing an abandoned horse, abused dogs, starved neglected dogs, homeless cows, pigs, chickens, and many abandoned cats and kittens. We just had a stray ferret in and she found her forever home the other day. We have had abandoned reptiles, rodents (that are pets) you name it we get it. We make sure everyone gets spayed/neutered, vaccinated, wormed, & microchip for adoption and we do follow up calls to keep check on all animals adopted out. Our average animal intake is always over 900 plus animals a year. We are rural area and very limited on funds we need everyone's help to make the budget for 2016 and to continue saving lives without the funds the doors will close and those 900 plus animals will have no safe place to go. Please help donate be part of the solution.
