BENEFITING: Humane Society for Hamilton County
"Life is as dear to a mute creature as it is to man. Just as one wants happiness and fears pain, just as one wants to live and not die, so do other creatures." His Holiness the Dalai Lama
Baby is a sweet and loving Min Pin who has been through some tough times in recent months. She was recently surrendered to the Humane Society for Hamilton County, in Noblesville Indiana. She was surrendered with her Boxer brother Wiley, and Min Pin sister Minnie, because their owners were no longer able to manage their medical needs. Sadly, since arriving at the shelter, Wiley and Minnie have passed away. In recent months Baby has lost her home, her human companions, and her furry family. This would be devastating to many animals and humans alike. Not Baby. She surely misses her old family, but this little girl is resilient and truly loves life. She is 12 years old, but you certainly wouldn't know it when watching her run around and play with her toys. She was adjusting fabulously in a foster home and had plans to meet with what she hoped would be her forever family. Two days before she was going to have the chance to finally go to her forever home, she developed an inguinal hernia encompassing a portion of her intestines and her bladder. Because the bladder is in the hernia, Baby needs to be transferred to the Veterinary Specialty Center, where the amazing staff of Noah's Animal Hospitals will provide her with excellent and loving care.
If you are familiar with HSHC, you know we go above and beyond to provide any medical care to the animals in our care. Many shelters or animal welfare agencies would be unwilling and unable to provide expensive, emergency medical care to a 12 year old dog. Not HSHC. We truly believe that ALL animals deserve the best chance for a second chance. We know that Baby has many years of happiness left. She truly loves life and has a strong will to live. As a non profit organization we would not be able to help Baby, or animals like her, without the help of individuals like you. Your donations will go directly towards the care of Baby, please help us raise the $1,000.00 needed to save her life!
"Life is life's greatest gift. Guard the life of another creature as you would your own. On life's scale of values, the smallest is no less precious to the creature who owns it than the largest." -Lloyd Biggie Jr.
