Erica Brown's Fundraiser:

Saving Equines

Horses have always been a passion of mine. So, when I discovered that there were some horses in need just down the road from me, I volunteered to take them. Among them were two Arabians, two Tennessee Walkers, and a burro. One of the Arabians was literally hide over bones. He wouldn't hold his head up and his eyes were glazed over. They were all very thin. This was in April of 2013. Six months later, all look much better. The Arabian has almost enough weight on him to start working with him. I have realized how much fun I have had and how great I felt to help these beautiful creatures. I have decided that it was time to put my grandparents pony farm to a good use. I am trying to get the funds to start up an equine rescue/rehabilitation farm. The money I raise will go to feeding and vet bills (which can be astronomical with a starved equine). There are so many equines in need with the struggling economy in our area. I would appreciate any help that I can get for my endeavor.
