The Penny F. Garrett Sarcoma Foundation was founded in January 2010 with the purpose to raise awareness and much needed funding for rare cancer research. Please join us for the 3rd Annual Creeper Trail Ride to End Cancer on Saturday, July 28th, to raise awareness and much-needed funding for rare cancer research. Proceeds will go to the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, the number one hospital for cancer research. For more information about the event, or to register, visit our website at www.creepertrailridetoendcancer.com.
Please consider donating here online, being a corporate sponsor, attending the events helping to raise money, or supporting any of the teams. You can support our team, Saving Lives One Penny at a Time, by donating here or purchasing a beautifully-made bracelet in support of our team. They have a "hope" charm with beads and ribbons in different colors representing different types of cancer. The picture just shows three of the colors (purple for uterine/leiomyosarcoma, yellow for liver/sarcoma, orange for leukemia) but more colors will be available. You can purchase the bracelets at the Beauty Pageant at Holston Highschool on July 21st or at the Amy Henderson benefit concert on July 27th at the Damascus Old Mill and Restaurant. You can also buy them on the day of the walk or contact any of the team members.
We are also selling raffle tickets for $1 for a chance to win a Kindle Fire tablet, $100 gas card, hand-carved boot toothpick holder, hand-carved pen set, Stella & Dot Bracelet or World's Best Broom.
