Hi! My name is Squeaker Doo. I am 8 years old and I am having trouble moving and eating. When I was a baby, only 4 weeks old I was accidently stepped on because I was running under people's feet. I weighed 1.2lbs when I was rushed to the hospital. I had blood coming out of my ears, nose and mouth. I was going to be given away so I didn't have a name until then. My mom told the receptionist that my name was Squeaker. My jaw was broken and my lungs were bruised and bleeding. They told my mom I wouldn't live but they would do what they could for me. I spent 3 days in an oxygen tank before they told my mom I could go home. For weeks I had to be feed formula by a syringe. My mom and older sister switched off feeding me every few hours. My tongue hung out of my jaw that was still broken. It would take another surgery to rebreak my jaw so it would sit normally. My mom couldn't afford it but I was always fed and taken care of. After a few weeks I could use my teeth to eat soft food and then after a while I could eat hard foods too. So we thought that it would be more painful to rebreak my jaw since I could eat normal anyway. I have lived in 5 different houses, broke my leg and have been stuck in a 40 foot tree for two days while my family searched for me. I am no longer that 4 week old kitten who they said would never live, I am an 8 year old cat who has seen 4 other litters of my siblings be born, has felt the grief of my elder, Pudge, pass away, have grown up with my mom, Trouble, and my friend Max and have welcomed a new edition to our family, Miracle, who was my Poppop's until now. For years I have watched over two girls, three boys and my mom. For the past week however my jaw is failing me. I can't open it enough to even drink water. I haven't eaten in days and I can only lap a few drops of water at a time. I have lost a lot of weight and am sleeping too much because I am dehydrated. My mom and sisters are going to syringe feed me again so I don't get too sick. But I will need to go to the vet to get this surgery. It is going to cost a lot of money that my family doesn't have. I will need blood tests done, X-rays, IVs for liquids, a catheter, sedatives so I do't rip the IV and catheter out, the surgery itself, pain medicine and at least one over night stay. Last time I was at the vet it took 2000$ to save me, without the surgery. Anything helps our family. Please, my family loves me, my best friend Max and my mom need me. -Squeaker Doo
