EVENT DATE: Mar 11, 2013
My name is Galen, and I'll be 9 years old on March 11.
I've liked tigers for as long as I can remember. I've made games about tigers, pretended to be tigers, read about tigers, and even had toy tigers to play with. I've gone to see tigers at Sedgwick County Zoo and Tanganyika, a wildlife park really close to my house. Sometimes I hear the tigers roaring in the morning. That's really cool, even if sometimes it's creepy!
I'm raising money for my birthday because I want to help save tigers from poachers. Tigers are becoming extinct, and that's bad because tigers are important for keeping the balance of life in their habitats. Their prey animals would be overpopulated if there were no tigers to hunt them. People keep taking away the tiger's habitat, too, and that's not fair!
When I grow up, I want to be involved in helping save tigers for real. For now, my mom says I can't keep tigers at our house, but I can help by supporting other people who are saving tigers. Please donate to my Saving Stripes birthday fundraiser to help me make a difference!
