Zoey is a five month old Siberian kitten with Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA). PDA occurs when the blood vessel called the Ductus Arteriosus fails to close after birth. Although Zoey acts like a normal hyper kitten most times, the cardiologist discovered that her body is already suffering from the effects of PDA. Zoey's heart has become very enlarged and without surgery to close the hole, Zoey will very likely die of heart failure within a year. The good news is that there's a team of awesome surgeons willing to perform the surgery. If Zoey gets this surgery, she will most likely make a full recovery and live a long healthy life. The bad news is that the surgery costs 3,000 dollars, and there is absolutely no way that Zoey's Mom and Dad (Natalee and Will) can afford to get that for her. Zoey's awesome surgeons offered to help with $650 of the surgery, but that leaves her parents with a $2350 bill. Zoey is not just a cat to Natalee and Will, but rather their child. Natalee and Will are both very allergic to cats, and searched high and low for a kitten that they could own together. Zoey is incredibly loved, and it kills her parents that they cannot afford to get the surgery for her. Zoey is a fetch playing, snuggle giving, anime watching cool cat. Not to mention she's insanely adorable. If you're able to donate towards her surgery, she will be forever grateful. And if you're not, she still loves you and kindly asks that you pass her page along to other animal lovers.
