#SB50 Justice Berman Fund
Organized by: Anonymous User
EVENT DATE Sep 03, 2015
As a diehard New England sports fan, born and raised in Maine, I always believed in the Pats organization since I was rockin' a Bledsoe jersey in elementary school in Maine, supporting Carroll. Since the day after the AFC Championship game with a colleague from FL (who is a diehard Marino/Dolphins fan), WE started a "SU...PER...BOWL" chant towards the end of the 4th quarter in the middle of the nosebleeds (Section 314) behind the Pats sideline. Game was over and we were elated as kid on Christmas Day while while #TB12 was sitting there on the sidelines thinking about what kind of New England syrup he is going to serve with his infamous "flapjacks" (pancakes) to his family the following morning (as Mrs. Brady (Gisele) has referred to Tommy Boy in the past as the “The Pancake Master” #bestpancakesintheworld). With his sixth Super Bowl berth, Brady surpassed John Elway for the most by a quarterback and tied defensive lineman Mike Lodish for most by any player. Belichick's sixth visit tied him with Don Shula's for most by a coach.
It was obvious that the Pats were the better team than the Colts last season as Brady and the Pats dismantled them and have came out victorious against them for the third straight game (while rushing for 657 yards in their last three victories against them by an average of 23.6 points). Some players and fans have openly contended that Brady could have beat them in the air throwing a beach ball after he completed 12-of-14 passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns in the second half when the Pats outscored the Colts 20-0 before the #Deflategate term was coined and the balls were "inspected" and "corrected" by league officials after the Colts complained (for the second time) during the first half of the game and Colts GM Ryan Grigson went to the NFL control booth to complain about the balls. (It is important to note LeGarrette Blount ran 30 times for 148 yards and three scores and the Patriots charged away after leading just 17-7 at halftime.)
Aside from #SB49, what transpired after the second half and final minutes of the game through the morning of September 3rd, 2015 has been COMPLETE BS for fans, especially Pats fans, and such an embarassment to the NFL and the attention seeking media, calling attention to insignificant regulary practiced behaviors as the Pats AFC Championship victory was the largest since 1990 when the Buffalo Bills beat the L.A. Raiders. Really??? L.A. Raiders, c'mon, give me a break, I was four at the time...
Sure, there have been awful missteps before. But this one should be remembered as the one that could and should ultimately doom Goodell and force him to retire in Maine at his "Vacationland" home which requires 24/7 security because of his questionable character and biased antics. The decision of the league to suspend #TB12 for four games, take two draft picks from the Patriots and fine the franchise $1 million would be a joke if it wasn't so surreal. It’s the latest example of a maddeningly inconsistent and wildly arbitrary disciplinary process that continues to make zero sense to those of us who come at it from a common sense perspective. Colts owner Jim Irsay gets a slap on the wrist for DUI (no media attention), Ravens Ray Lewis gets away with murder (fined $250K), while Ray Rice initially gets two games for knocking out his fiancee. Meanwhile, #TB12 gets four for engaging in a process that, to many quarterbacks, has become standard operating procedure in the league since signal-callers pushed for the right to pre-treat the footballs in 2006.
In sum, the biased Goodell/Wells Report caused a 7 MONTH media circus and was unnecessary drama for the #TB12, his family, friends, business partners, and diehard fans, while Gronk is touring the world and Edelman is taking over Tinder similar to how Mark Zuckerberg took over our time, energy, and personal relationships and marriages with Facebook.
Whether you love him or hate him, or love the physical attractiveness of Gisele (girls and guys alike), #TB12 is the #GOAT of the #NFL and Judge Richard M. Berman deserves just as much credit as Brady has earned in over a decade and a half in New England by vacating the arbitration by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell in his opinion filed Thursday in U.S. District Court.
If you represent the Pats and New England (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont) or read/skimmed this entire #GoFundMe, you deserve a big Pat (no pun intended) on the back from everyone around you, especially your family and friends. Please consider donating $12 to raise $50K dollars for Justice Berman (in honor of the #SB50--who knows how many I will watch once the #GOAT retires) and Justice Berman saving us from the Patriot Haters (the rest of the NFL outside of New England). Collectively, as Pats fans who worship #TB12 and #InBillWeTrust, we should donate $12 (minimum) or more to thank and retire Justice Berman for delivering justice (first try) without spending millions and relying on a fundamentally flawed Wells Report.
It is important to note that none of the proceeds generated here will be going directly to Hon. Richard Berman (he will never pay for a beverage in New England as he already has been awarded with a lifetime supply of Dunks and NE Clam Chowdah). All monies donated will go towards his charity and publication efforts. He is the author of “A Team Model to Identify Child Abuse,” “Seven Steps to Protect Children,” and “Community Service for Juvenile Offenders,” published in the New York Law Journal. What "A True American Hero" outside of New England!
I look forward to personally delivering the check to Justice Berman in New York between now and #SB50.
I will keep you all posted on our progress!
