About me: I'm a university student, majoring in anthropology with a minor concentration in social entrepreneurship. I work with several organizations that focus on youth development and leadership. One such organization is the International Youth Leadership Institute (IYLI), a not-for-profit organization that prepares African American and Latino secondary school students to assume active leadership roles in their communities and global society by means of travel throughout numerous countries in the African diaspora. I also work with the Gye Nyame Empowerment Project, where I've helped plan and facilitate the Sista-2-Sista Youth Summit, a one-day program that seeks to help girls live more empowered and fulfilled lives. I eventually wish to establish a consortium that includes institutions of higher learning as well as institutions such as museums, libraries, and even arboretums, all for the sake of increasing the body of knowledge available to the human family. I participate in the Presidential Honors and Deans Scholars programs at my school. In what little free time I have left, I act as president of my university's Ninja Club.
