BENEFITING: AARON GRIDER FOUNDATION INC
In February 2015, I have been given the unique opportunity to climb Mount Kilimanjaro with Tusker Trail on its "Climb for Valor". The team of climbers includes two U.S. Special Forces veterans, injured in the line of duty, family members of those who have fallen, active duty military personnel, and others who are interested in climbing to support military families, specifically families of the fallen.
I’m honored to be a part of such an inspiring group of individuals that epitomize heroism, self-sacrifice, and perseverance. This climb will not be easy, and will challenge us physically and mentally, however, it seems a fitting metaphor for the lives of those pursuing the summit.
I have decided to use my participation on the “Climb for Valor” to raise funds for Aaron Grider Foundation, specifically funds that will provide scholarships to surviving families participating in our 2015 short-term missions trip with Casas por Cristo to Acuña, Mexico. These scholarships will give surviving families a life-impacting experience to participate in another type of physical and emotional challenge; an opportunity to build a home for those in need. Through this scholarship program families of the fallen have a feasible way to partake in this mission of building relationships and genuine hope.
Spreading hope TO and THROUGH hearts in need...
Will you join us on this journey?
