BENEFITING: LOVE HAS COME INC
EVENT DATE: May 16, 2013
On May 16th I will run 13 miles in the Fargo Half Marathon! I am asking friends to pledge $13 ($1 a mile) or more if you like! But seriously, if just 100 of you give $13 (tax-deductible dollars), that will be $1,300 for Project Haiti!
What’s Project Haiti? An incredible, God-sized, faith-filled project that the people at Love Has Come have taken on, in order to provide orphans in Haiti with a home. You see, the earthquake in Haiti did major damage to Maison des Enfants de Dieu. Not only that, the earthquake left many kids without parents and, left many parents so destitute, that they will leave their child at Maison, believing their chances of survival are better there than with them. Maison is busting at their already broken seams. Project Haiti is all about building not just a new orphanage, but a center, where children will thrive and be equipped to lead Haiti into a bright new future! You can read more about it here.
Let’s do it! Donate now!
Oh ya…everyone who sponsors me will be entered in a giveaway to earn Noonday Collection’s trio of bangles, made of carved horn by artisans in Haiti who were brought together by the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund which helped re-establish the broad network of skilled artisans following the earthquake of 2010. Check out the bangles here.
