BENEFITING: TRAGEDY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR SURVIVORS
EVENT DATE: Dec 07, 2013
On December 15, 2010, Justin Schmalstieg lost his life in Afghanistan serving our country as an EOD Marine. Justin was a long time athlete of Oceanside CrossFit. He was an incredible athlete, an endearing goofy person, and an adoring husband. Many of us enjoyed the privilege of working out next to him. He always gave it his all, left his sweat on our gym floor, and made us all better athletes just trying to keep pace with him.
Justin was only 28 years old when he gave the ultimate sacrifice for all of us in the defense of our nation; against those who would wish to do us and our own families harm. We give thanks for souls such as Justin's. He continues to be deeply missed, but will never be forgotten. Join us as we honor Fallen Marine and OCF Friend GySgt Justin Schmalstieg.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
