BENEFITING: Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas
Some families have the ability to provide the training and experience their kids need to reach the highest levels of success. But we are better off when all kids have access to those kinds of resources. Join us today, and help pave the way for those from low to moderate income families to participate and Make Something Great.
The Entrepreneurs Foundation, Austin Center for Design and Capital Factory are launching Make Something Great in summer 2016, a two week camp for teenagers that combines entrepreneurship with design thinking. Our goal is to prepare young people for the highest levels of success in the types of economies they'll be competing in as adults.
We are committed to socio-economic diversity. Every dollar raised from this campaign will be applied to scholarships for low and moderate income students. Every $1,000 raised opens the door for another young person to join us!
During this two week immersive camp, students will learn product design, attacking a real-world problem from all sides. They will spend the first week at Capital Factory, learning to research, to deploy empathy in the design process, and to synthesize their research into ideas. For week two, they'll move to Austin Center for Design's makerspace, where they'll get their hands dirty bringing their product to life.
