On December 14, 2012, I was driving home to Georgia from Washington, D.C. to spend the holidays with my family. Throughout the 10 hour drive I listened to the horrific events unfolding in Newtown, CT. My twin boys were attending daycare that day. As soon as I returned home I withdrew them from their daycare and made arrangements for them to stay at home. I am a licensed mental health provider and I began developing a comprehensive school-based anti-violence program to assist educators and school administrators identify and diffuse students with a propensity for violence. I am now ready to being marketing and presenting these programs at limited cost to schools. I am requesting funding for this important endeavor. No family should ever have to experience this horror again.
