School Opal Mining Trip
Organized by: Saeja Thompson
I am Saeja Thompson a student at Explorations Academy in Bellingham Washington. I am working on becoming a professional stone worker and jeweler. I locally mine cut and polish many stones and wire wrap them to sell and am working towards creating a business in this I can live off of after I graduate. For our final term at my school seniors get to design their own curriculum. One of my classes this term is a crystal mining class. In this class I will mine for crystals at various places around Washington state but the culminating event for this project is to go to the Royal Peacock mine in Nevada and mine for opals. If I do not go on this trip I can not pass my class as it is on my syllabus. What I am asking for is any small donation to my trip so I can make it to Nevada and pay the costs to mine at this beautiful place. I am working at my job to raise money for this trip as well as selling Jewelry, so another way to donate is to buy Jewelry from me. My jewelry facebook page is New Earth Designs (https://www.facebook.com/newearthdesignssaeja/) and my website is Saejadaye.com. I appreciate any help I can get to send me on this beautiful experience that will further my progress in becoming a professional stone worker and jeweler.
