We are creating the first major Schubert Festival in the Chicago area, what we intend to be an annual, gala event. It will have 6 hours of Franz Schubert's music played by highly accomplished professionals. The event will occur in Oak Park's famed Unity Temple, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and completed in 1909. The building is just reopening after a 2-year process of restoration and is a spectacular site, nominated to be a World Heritage Site. It is a marvelous venue for music, a setting in which no seat is far from the performance space.
