Two men. 125 km of Canadian Mountain Wilderness. 17,000 feet of elevation gain. Three mountain summits. Cougars, Mosquitoes and Bears--oh my!
Why? Because they care about others!!!
Each is running for his own reasons. Michael Stephensen--a cancer survivor, husband to a cancer survivor, and a medical doctor all rolled into one--is running for Cancer research. Scott Herrin--an educator, motivator, and proud father--is running for Operation Smile.
Each is trying to raise $100 for every kilometer of the race. Both have been training tirelessly in preparation for this epic journey to go the full distance on their own feet. And we want to help, but we don't want them to find out until the end of the race!!!
Our goal is to raise at least $25,000 ($12,500 each), to be split equally between them in recognition of their efforts in the name of charity.
If you're a runner, a philanthropist, or someone whose life has in some way been touched by cancer or cleft palate, show your support and encouragement to these two men as they take on a challenge that very few dare even consider!
