Explosion Caused By ScriptEd
August 30, 2016
ScriptEd.org equips students in under-resourced public schools with the fundamental coding skills and professional experiences that together create access to careers in technology. We bring our tuition-free program directly to public schools, where classes are taught by professional software developers on a volunteer basis. Students apply their new coding skills in paid summer internships where they work with role models in the field as well as gain the experience and confidence necessary to pursue careers in technology. To learn more, check out ScriptEd's easy to read 2014-2015 Annual Report.
With your support, ScriptEd can reach more volunteers, teach more classes, partner with more schools and companies, identify more mentors, and arrange more paid internships.
Last year, longtime friends Husani Barnwell and Charles Best teamed up with Dahni-El Giles (Board Director and Treasurer) to tackle the 2015 NYC Triathlon to benefit ScriptEd. As a trio of rookies, the team finished the triathlon in 2:54:54. We're back this year seeking to finish 10% faster while hoping to raise 10% more!

The 2016 NYC Triathlon will take place Sunday July 24th. We hope you will support us and ScriptEd with cold hard web-based payments! :-)
