BENEFITING: No Stomach For Cancer
Stomach Cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide! Since November is the Stomach Cancer Awareness Month, I thought it would be a great opportunity to raise awareness and money for a disease that truly needs it! I created the stomach cancer whipped cream challenege as a fun way to help spread this awareness and raise money to donate to stomach cancer research. For more information go to www.nostomachforcancer.org/support-us/events and check out the flyer posted on their website at http://www.nostomachforcancer.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/Whipped-cream-challenge-flyer.pdf
A little background about myself, I am a freshman at Roger Williams University and my dad was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer. Being told from doctors that it is all just a time game and there is nothing they can do, is never what anyone wants to hear about their loved ones. My dad is my role model, hero, and inspiration and I wanted to do something to help not only him but all the other friends and families out their having to sit back and watch their loved ones suffer. Cancer is a horrible disease and I really hope this challenge will help and give hope to all the survivors, fighters and people we have lost.
I want to thank everyone who is participating and helping raise awareness and money, you are taking a huge step with us in helping save lives and ultimately finding a cure!
