Who is the SDFLC?
The SDFLC is a comprehensive financial services program that focuses on the overall financial health of San Diego, including members of the military, youth, low-moderate income families, and collaborative community partners.
What is the Fundraiser?
One of the SDFLC’s core programs, Boost For Our Heroes, is designed to directly benefit military members and their families. This program provides our men and women of the Armed Forces with free financial education and assistance to become financially fit.
What Has the SDFLC Already Done?
Since it was established in 2014, the SDFLC has dedicated countless hours and has helped thousands of people in the San Diego area through a variety of free workshops, outreach efforts, and one-on-one consultations. They have also held 3 Educational Luncheons, where they awarded a $3,000 check to 3 different military members.
Why is this Fundraiser Important?
Financial literacy in general is so important, and many people are in need of it. That is why the SDFLC is determined to make an impact on those that give so much each day. The SDFLC wants to educate and empower individuals and their families to make sound financial decisions and develop positive personal finance habits for life.
What are the SDFLC’s Short-Term and Long-Term Goals?
A short-term goal for the SDFLC is to keep providing complementary education to the community and reach 10,000+ citizens. Their long-term goal is to educate all members of the military to become financially fit.
