The Suite Dreams Project is partnering with The House of Providence for this amazing charity challenge opportunity.
The Suite Dreams Project is a local 5019c(3) non-profit in Rochester, MI. Our mission is to bring comfort and joy to children affected by serious medical conditions by creating healing environments in their homes, in hospitals and in our communities that improve their quality of life and speed recovery. In 2015, we plan to complete two bedrooms a month for a total of 24 bedrooms this year!
The House of Providence is committed to giving quality care to older foster youth between the ages of 11-17, with emphasis given to spiritual growth and emotional healing. They care for both permanent and temporary wards of the state. Their residents who are permanent wards are those who have had all parental rights severed. Their temporary residents are those whose parents are taking steps toward reunification. Currently, they are capable of assisting 15 female residents with the goal of expanding to include an all male facility in 2015.
The House of Providence's new project is going to be a 118 acre therapeutic campus for foster children in the state of Michigan. They will be servicing boys, girls and disabled foster youth. The campus will provide holistic services including animal assisted therapy, job training, life skills and group and individual therapy. They will continue with their family-based strategy that is providing incredible results!
On this campus they will be able to provide each program (boys, girls and disabled foster children) with 20 acre parcel's in which they can find serenity and healing. This bucolic setting will be a cathartic place that is far removed from the harshness of the life they have known.
Please join with us in helping, make this dream a reality! Thank you from the Suite Dreams Project and The House of Providence.
