BENEFITING: EPHAS PRODUCTIONS INCORPORATED
Hi friends and family! Thanks for checking out my fundraising page. On the 1st of October, I'm going to begin riding my bicycle from Boston, Massachusetts to Venice Beach, California. I'll be pedaling 4,000 miles over the course of two months in support of an awesome non-profit called EPHAS. Funds I raise will go towards a fledgling photography/entrepreneurship program in South Sudan, one of the newest and most unstable nations on earth. If you’d like more information on South Sudan or to make a donation directly to this EPHAS program, please click here. If you’d like to make a donation to help offset the cost of the ride itself, you’ve come to the right place.
As a volunteer, I will be paying for the trip myself. A bike load of gear and two months of living expenses can add up pretty quickly, but it’s a sacrifice I am happy to make in support of such a great cause. However, if any of you, my amazing friends and family, wish to help defray this cost, I would be incredibly grateful. Here’s an idea of how a small donation could help me out:
$1 – Buy me a Powerbar, of which I expect to consume about 3.4 million over the next two months.
$3 – Help me do a much-needed load of laundry.
$5 – Help me fix a flat tire. Riding a fully loaded bike is hard enough, pushing it cross-country would just be overkill.
$10 – Pay my health insurance for a day.
$25 – Buy me a campsite for a night.
$50 – Check me into a motel for the night. As much as I love camping, towards the end of these two months, a Red Roof Inn will look like the Taj Mahal.
$250 – Sponsor my personal locator beacon, which will hopefully sit unused in the bottom of a pannier for 2 months.
If you aren’t in a position to donate, just give me a call once or twice while I’m on the road; hearing a familiar voice will be a pretty amazing gift in and of itself!
