BENEFITING: Resonance Works
What a year it's been! Our third season saw an expanded range of performances and collaborations! We began with a blend of opera, vocal and chamber music in The Bernstein Project, then switched it up with 8-Cello Sound Fusion, where audiences were treated to Villa-Lobos, plus cello rock powerhouse Cello Fury! December saw a remount of our Holiday tradition of Amahl and the Night Visitors, this year paired with a feature for our orchestra. We explored the range of vocal music with Ned Rorem's song cycle Evidence of Things Not Seen, and brought a beloved fairy tale to operatic life in Massenet's Cinderella. Our season finale is an exciting collaboration with Texture Contemporary Ballet in Mahler's Song of the Earth. We also launched a chamber music series with Resonance Chamber @ the Cloakroom, as well as our first annual fundraising event, Bon Appétit! (where we learned that you CAN sing opera and bake a delicious chocolate cake at the same time!) Our 2016-2017 season promises to be even more exciting and diverse.
We have only had such a successful season because of the support of enthusiastic audiences and generous donors. YOU enable us to bring our unique mix of innovative, artist-driven programming to Pittsburgh. Please help us raise $10,000 to finish our 2015-2016 strong, and ensure that Resonance Works can continue to be a valued cultural asset in Pittsburgh!
