I have never been one to play victim. You create your own destiny and have to deal with the ramifications of your actions or lack thereof. I am not going to sit here and bore you with a sob story. The facts are this: I have worked hard and held a full-time position since I was 13. I strive daily to better myself. I have a accomplished quite a bit in my short time on this earth. I have always prided myself in a good credit score and paying my bills in full or at the least on time. I recently wed in September of last year, and miscalculated some last minute expenses, and then to top it off, was hospitalized and diagnosed (finally after months) with a chronic disease. Because of this, my finances have skewed and I have had one credit card shut down, with the risk of legal action. I am working diligently to pay what I can, but it is nominal in comparison to what is owed, and it is taking all of my income and sanity to keep all of my other bills current. I have never been one to ask for a handout, but I believe I am worth the investment. I know what I did and will not put myself in such a predicament moving forward. I desperately need a way to get to a somewhat clean slate, so I can refocus. Any amount will help, but the goal is at least $5,000.00. I thank you in advance for your time and consideration, as this has to be one of the most demeaning things I have ever had to do.
