BENEFITING: SOLACE VILLAGE
The focus of this small campaign is to raise awareness of the need for Sedeka Center, an innovative day center that will assist those caught in extreme poverty and/or homelessness to develop a stable foundation from which to better their lives. Our program is innovative in that people participate in service projects designed to make their lives better while they help their peers. A stigma exists about the homeless that needs to be dismantled. Awareness is the wrecking ball that breaks down the wall. We are going to create a pamphlet, posters, and other materials that will be used to increase awareness. To generate those items, we need a software upgrade of Adobe Elements for our computer ($79), a website (free - Teresa will do it!), 1 ream of white paper for letters to area service providers and government officials ($6.49), printer toner (HP Laserjet 1300 - $128.99), envelopes ($34.39), postage ($48), business cards (Vista Print - $34.98), 500 brochures (Vista Print - $149.99), 50 posters (Vista Print - $67.49), shipping of items from Vista Print ($15), and let's add in another $100 for "sundry things."
