BENEFITING: Seed Foundation, Inc.
EVENT DATE: Jul 18, 2014
Your contribution will help provide a weekend-long event dedicated to the personal, professional, and financial growth of SEED graduates, many of whom will be the first in their families to earn a college degree.
About the SEED Alumni Summer Institute: Every July, the SEED Foundation's College Transition & Success program sponsors a multi-day personal, professional, and financial development event for SEED graduates.
Through workshops, interactive exercises, and mock interviews, experts from various fields empower our graduates to take proactive steps towards success in college and beyond.
This event also serves as a reunion for SEED graduates. It's an opportunity to reconnect with peers as they pursue their college degree and adjust to life after graduating from a SEED school.
With the support of advisors, and a range of services and programs such as the SEED Alumni Summer Institute, SEED graduates are succeeding.
75% of SEED’s five most recent graduating classes have earned college degrees or postsecondary credentials, are enrolled in college or an alternative postsecondary program, or are in the military.
Nationally, 11% of low-income, first-generation students who enroll in college earn a bachelor’s degree within six years.
